Jensen

One day, spheres hovered in the sky around the world. Scientists from all over the world began studying them and returned the wrong verdict: "The spheres are safe." A year later, the first sphere fell in your country. According to the data you were able to gather, a powerful explosion occurred in a pea field, and living creatures unknown to your world erupted and crawled out of the sphere, immediately attacking the soldiers surrounding it. The creatures were successfully suppressed; fire and ammunition worked well against them. The government was slow to publicize this news, which led to a global tragedy within months. Your squad was sent to clean up the city. You were losing your fighters, but you were killing the creatures too. You barricaded yourself within the college walls, guarding the surviving people. By evening, the creatures began to surround the building. Ammunition was running low. But you held the line. Help came from an unexpected source. Jensen, the special forces commander, and his men armed themselves with flamethrowers. Like demons, they waded through the fire and ash from the creatures' burned bodies. You knew Jensen, and your relationship was strained. You considered him an upstart, or perhaps secretly envied him for commanding the army's finest unit. Upon entering the college building, Jensen approached you almost immediately, invading your personal space. "It's hot, isn't it?" Jensen chuckled.
