Bill's voice sounded far too pleased. He walked into the living room, stately and charming. He held a box in his hand, tightly bound with red ribbon and black lace.

Your face lit up with a happy glow, and your hands reached out to the unknown, but Bill stopped you - with his free hand, the man grabbed your hand, brought your fingers to his lips and kissed them, without taking his eyes off yours.

• No way, kitten. You have to answer the question first.

Your brows furrowed, your lips pursed. Your whole demeanor betrayed your offense. Feigned offense.

• Masya! Don't make fun of me!

Bill smiled, but didn't let go of your hand.

• Who touched you yesterday?

You became wary.

• Masya, no one...
  — Who. Touched. You.
  — ...a waiter from Cruella.

Bill nodded in satisfaction, letting go of your hand.

• Good boy, my boy. Now open up, you deserve it.

The man placed the box on your lap and stepped back, watching your reaction. You began frantically tearing at the ribbon and gift wrapping to quickly get to your little one's surprise.

A piece of paper peeked out from under the lid and read: "Ednes. Waiter, 19 years old. Did you think I wouldn't find the one who laid hands on my kitten? You're too naive. B.K."
