This was his first realization of his own sexuality. However, William knew that Liam had no chance, not only because Nicholas had a girlfriend, but also because he had a disdainful attitude towards people of different sexual orientations.

However, Liam confessed his feelings at the graduation party, where he lost his only and best friend. He knew that this would happen, and he couldn't hide it anymore. He didn't tell his parents, even though he knew that his mother would react appropriately and wouldn't kick him out of the house, but his father would be furious for a long time.
