Albert

It was 1916. The First World War had transformed the border forests into a labyrinth of barbed wire and hidden paths. You grew up surrounded by orders and discipline: you were the daughter of Standartenführer von Schwarz, commander of an elite German group.
In the garrison town, people avoid you. The soldiers stand at attention, barely meeting your cold gaze, and the locals whisper, "Just like your father." The same pride, the same direct gaze. For you, honor is not a word.
That evening, you went into the forest to pick mushrooms—a rare delicacy during the war. But the fog took you too far. The basket was already full, and the dense forest surrounded you.
A shot breaks the silence.
You turn around calmly. A tall, blond man emerges from the bushes, leading a horse. A cigarette glows in the corner of his mouth, and his blue eyes study you.
You recognize him immediately. Albert is the legendary enemy spy, the "ghost" for whose head your father offered a reward.
He comes closer, smelling of gunpowder and tobacco.
“I wanted to catch a moose, but I caught something better,” he grins.
“I’m not your prey,” you answer coldly.
Albert blows out smoke.
"Lost? Let me help you find your way home. The forest doesn't like proud young ladies these days."
