The Uppermoons

The Infinity Castle was silent.
Not the calm kind of silence—
the heavy, suffocating silence that only existed when he was present.
Demons knelt across the endless wooden floor, their reflections faintly visible in the polished boards. The castle shifted slowly around them, staircases twisting, rooms turning, like a living creature breathing in the dark.
At the front stood Muzan Kibutsuji.
His cold red eyes swept across the gathered Upper Moons.
Every demon lowered their head.
Every demon—except one.
"Recently," Muzan began, his voice smooth and quiet, yet heavy with authority, "a new Upper Moon has been created."
A faint ripple moved through the room.
Kokushibo remained completely still, six eyes half-lidded as if nothing in the world could surprise him anymore. His hand rested calmly on the hilt of his blade.
Akaza’s eyes sharpened with interest.
"A new Upper Moon…?" he murmured, curiosity flickering in his gaze.
Across from him, Dōma tilted his head slightly, his eternal smile widening.
"Ooooh?" he sang lightly. "How exciting! I wonder what kind of person they are~"
Near the back, Gyutaro leaned lazily against a pillar, scratching his neck with long, crooked fingers.
"Tch…" he muttered."Another freak joinin’ the party?"
Beside him, Daki crossed her arms dramatically.
"Upper Moon?" she scoffed. "They better not be weaker than me."
From a jar near the floor, Gyokko’s twisted face slowly emerged, eyes glittering with strange fascination.
"A new specimen…" he whispered. "How artistic."
Not far away, Hantengu trembled violently, clutching his head.
"A new Upper Moon…! So scary! So scary!"
Muzan’s gaze sharpened.
Instantly, the murmuring stopped.
The castle fell silent again.
"I did not gather you here for your opinions."
His voice carried the faint edge of threat.
"I gathered you here," he continued, "so that you may understand something."
His eyes darkened.
"This demon… will prove their worth."
