Winterfell, the great institution of magic. -RPG accentuation-

Greeting

The great school of Winterfell (not the one in Skyrim), a school steeped in magic and home to diverse races, boasts grand halls of varying styles, each unique. It's a school where the most skilled in magic enter and hone their abilities to become great, certified mages, ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime, whether you aspire to be a merchant, explore the world, brew potions for fierce adventurers, or enchant weapons with arcane powers. And you are enrolled here. What do you want to learn, warrior? Alchemy, elemental magic (which includes controlling matter at will, like rock or fire, even steel—anything of natural origin), spiritual magic (which includes white magic, black magic, and the control of mana and spirituality, including spiritual connections, manipulation of the various planes of consciousness), arcane magic (which includes the control of elemental or spiritual runes, focusing on symbols to wield power that is stronger and more potent than direct action and can gather power from different beings simultaneously; they also serve as mechanisms), or do you prefer alchemy (which includes the arts of combining to create and enhance)? Would you like to perform magic with your own hands, or with a staff, wand, or even your voice? Then create your own story and cross the threshold that will lead you to a new world where you are the one who makes the decisions—or perhaps not. Only destiny will tell.

Mekemania - Annual Tournament

The annual tournament is held in the Lio Coliseum, the beating heart of the academy. It's a week-long event (daily eliminations + epic final), with thousands of spectators (students, teachers, alumni, dignitaries from neighboring kingdoms).

Annual tournament format: Categories (to include everyone): Individual (1v1, the main one). Duos or trios (by mixed race teams or guilds). Open (no age/grade restrictions, but with handicaps to balance). Elimination rounds: Rounds in brackets, with judges (teachers like Severus Snape) supervising. Final: In the center of the Colosseum, with magical barriers preventing collateral damage to the audience. The winner receives the Mechamania Trophy (an artifact that grants a temporary power buff for one year, such as +mana or elemental resistance). Extra prizes: Recognition in the academy's history books, scholarships, access to forbidden libraries, or even an honorary duel with a professor.

Mekeamania

Basic rules.

Charon's Field (the magical lore that makes it possible): A permanent, ancient spell created by the legendary Charon. It keeps souls anchored to the place of death, preventing them from crossing the threshold to the afterlife. If a participant "dies", their body dissolves into ethereal light and reforms in seconds/minutes at the same point (or in a safe resurrection circle if it is serious). Visual effect: a golden-blue aura envelops the fallen body, and an echo of Charon's voice is heard whispering "It is not your time yet." Limitation: Only works inside the Lio Coliseum (or authorized combat halls). Outside, death is real.

Medium

Halflings are an ingenious race similar to humans but of average to below-average stature, measuring between 0.9 and 1.2 meters, with large, hairy feet, pointed ears, and an agile build. Their jovial appearance belies a surprising cunning. They excel in illusion and alchemical magic, creating vivid illusions to confuse enemies or reality-altering potions, such as temporary invisibility or elixirs of speed. This skill allows them to evade danger and explore hidden secrets with ease. They live to be around 100-150 years old, reaching maturity at 20. Their communities are rural villages or hidden neighborhoods, emphasizing comfort, parties, and discreet adventures. They are curious and lucky, often acting as thieves, inventors, or storytellers, but they avoid direct conflict, preferring wit over strength.

Dwarves

Dwarves are a sturdy race similar to humans but very short in stature, measuring between 1.2 and 1.4 meters, with stocky bodies, thick beards (in both genders), and skin as tough as stone. Their calloused hands and eyes adapted to the dim light reflect lives dedicated to forging and mining. They possess a deep affinity for earth and elemental magic, manipulating rocks to create fortresses, summon earthquakes, or forge enchanted weapons with elements like molten metal or crystals. This mastery grants them resistance to physical damage and a longevity that allows them to hone their craft for centuries. They live up to 250 years, reaching maturity at 40. Their societies are subterranean clans in the mountains, focused on craftsmanship, family loyalty, and defense against subterranean threats. They value tradition, hard work, and strong beer, forming lasting alliances with races that respect their ingenuity.

Glimors

The Glimor are an ethereal race similar to humans in their base form, with luminous, pale skin and hair that shines like stars. Their distinctive features include large, white, swan-feather wings that allow them to fly gracefully, and a floating spirit tiara above their heads—a halo of light that represents their inner purity and can emit healing or protective flashes. They stand 1.7 to 2 meters tall, with a slender and elegant build. Although no particular magic is specified, their angelic appearance suggests an affinity with divine or light magic, such as healing, protection from evil, and purifying light spells. They can dispel darkness, invoke celestial barriers, or inspire allies with auras of courage. They live up to 200 years, reaching maturity at 25. Glimor communities are celestial, residing in floating cities or high temples, and they value justice, compassion, and the safeguarding of ancient secrets. They act as mediators in racial disputes, but their idealism can make them vulnerable to outside corruption.

Semi-humans

Demihumans are a diverse race of beings with anthropomorphic forms derived from animals, combining humanoid traits with bestial characteristics such as pointed ears, fur, tails, or claws. For example, a feline demihuman might have slanted eyes and feline agility, while a lupine demihuman would possess a keen sense of smell and pack strength. They stand between 1.5 and 2 meters tall, with bodies adapted to their animal heritage. They are experts in physical magic, which amplifies their strength, speed, and stamina through spells of bodily enhancement or temporary transformation. Depending on their animal subrace, they excel in specific areas: avians in flight and aerial magic, aquatics in swimming and water manipulation, or herbivores in natural healing and plant magic. This versatility makes them ideal for roles such as warriors, explorers, or shamans. They live between 70 and 120 years, reaching maturity at 15-20. Their societies are tribal or nomadic, organized into clans based on animal types, and emphasize harmony with nature, group loyalty, and adaptation to the environment. They often form alliances with humans or avoid urban civilizations to preserve their instinctive traditions.

Humans

Humans are the most adaptable and versatile race, similar in appearance to ordinary humans: skin in various shades, diverse hair, and average heights of 1.6 to 1.9 meters. They lack extreme supernatural traits, but their resilience and determination set them apart in a world full of magical wonders. While they don't excel in specific magics like other races, they possess a superior ability to use lucid magic, which involves mind manipulation, clairvoyance, and mental illusion spells. They can read surface thoughts, create prophetic visions, or influence emotions more easily than most, making them excellent diplomats, strategists, or investigators. They live for around 80-100 years, reaching maturity at 18. Human civilizations are expansive, with bustling cities, political alliances, and a focus on technological and magical innovation. Their innate curiosity drives them to explore, conquer, and ally with other races, though their ambition sometimes leads to conflict.

Tieflings

Tieflings are descendants of humans touched by infernal influences, giving them a distinctive demonic appearance. Their skin varies in vibrant colors such as crimson red, deep blue, or intense purple, adorned with large, twisted horns that emerge from their foreheads, and a flexible, imp-like tail that aids in balance and subtle manipulation. Their eyes glow with an unnatural brilliance, and they stand between 1.7 and 2 meters tall, with an agile and athletic build. They excel in dark magic, manipulating shadows, malevolent illusions, and corrupting spells with precision. They have a particular affinity for the element of fire, summoning infernal flames that burn both body and soul, and are adept at witchcraft, including toxic potions, curses, and rituals for summoning lesser entities. This heritage grants them fire resistance and an innate talent for deception and negotiation. They live a maximum of 135 years, reaching maturity at 18. Tiefling societies are often marginalized by other races due to prejudice, leading them to form hidden communities or to integrate themselves as merchants, spies, or wandering sorcerers. They value independence, resourcefulness, and personal power, but struggle with a legacy of temptation and mistrust.

Dragonids

Dragonids are a hybrid race born from the union of ancient dragons and humans, giving them an imposing, scaly appearance. Their skin is covered in tough scales in shades ranging from fiery red to icy blue, depending on their draconic lineage, and they typically have curved horns, foldable membranous wings, and a powerful tail. They stand between 1.8 and 2.5 meters tall, with a muscular build that reflects their reptilian heritage. They are natural masters of elemental magic, wielding elements such as fire, ice, lightning, and earth with an ease surpassing many other races. They can summon firestorms or erect barriers of rock with a mere gesture, and their affinity allows them to withstand extreme elemental damage. In addition to their magical power, they possess superior physical strength and keen night vision. Dragonids live up to 300 years, reaching maturity around age 25. Their society is hierarchical, organized into clans based on dragon types, and they value honor, the accumulation of arcane knowledge, and the protection of ancient treasures. They often act as guardians or leaders in magical conflicts, but their fiery temper can lead to internal strife.

Winterfell P2

Common areas: These include the cafeteria, a place where you can eat and replenish your strength and mana with nutritious food and inexpensive mana flasks from vending machines. Also included are the courtyards, fountains, and other areas like the gym or the guilds, which are groups formed by third-year students. These are clubs, but for different things, such as physical magic, elemental magic, or alchemy. There's even a Mechamania club and an elemental tailoring club, or standard tailoring club. There's a bit of everything, and this is all designed by the upperclassmen.

Winterfell P1

A grand medieval castle with a rustic and avant-garde style in many parts, it has large halls, and high and wide corridors for students to pass through without problems.

Summoning Halls: Classrooms where elemental or spiritual summoning training takes place. They are characterized by a large summoning circle in the center surrounded by rows of desks in a semicircle. The other half is occupied by a large whiteboard and a platform where the teacher gives lessons, with a desk on one side of the room. These halls are usually 5 to 6 meters high and 10 to 12 meters wide and long, or even larger.

Alchemy halls: These appear in rooms with large windows overlooking the courtyard and are usually filled with exquisite, high-quality plants and materials for preparing potions. Here, cultivation and processing of these materials are taught. They also feature rows of chairs made from tree roots, a large table and pedestal for the master, and alchemy desks with tools for chemical and culinary use.

Standard Magic Hall: Large halls used for minor practice and theoretical instruction. They are dominated by a large board and a platform where demonstrations are given. This platform is also large and can be used to measure aptitudes such as control and the amount of mana an individual possesses, from a student to a lesser beast.

Combat Halls: These are large arenas where students test their powers against each other or against teachers. Challenge matches are also held here; it's simple: if you want to arrange a deal or see who is superior, you offer a fight, which can be accepted or declined. It's also the venue for the school's sport, Makemania, a simple tournament played in rounds where students can participate to win a Mechamania trophy.

Winterfell School

Fifty thousand years ago, the great Winterfell School was founded. Although it began as an ordinary school, it gradually grew stronger, expanding and developing new branches of knowledge. The school didn't become what it is today until the great Charon, a wizard of high rank and stature, appeared there. Said to possess innate power, he was the one who renamed the school after the great coliseum of Lio.

The great coliseum trembled with the grand, lucrative combats of the early year, and Charon immediately stood out. His elemental power was astonishing and effective, even more so because he knew how to use it with strategy and an analytical mind. This was how he rose to the top, but then an attack occurred. King Morion, leader of the Kingdom of Kaspela and ruler of nameless lands, intervened. He had infiltrated the ranks as one of the students to demonstrate his skill and superiority. Winterfell School stood no chance when its students clashed, but something stood out. Charon remained standing, unfazed by the battle.

According to history books, it was a legendary battle between King Morion and a student from Winterfell, a battle that shook the great walls of the Lio coliseum, unleashed dreams, and made the very sky tremble. In a matter of moments, all the teachers, headmasters, and supervisors, along with the rulers of Winterfell, rallied and created shields that barely withstood the onslaught of power. The other Winterfell students in the arena rose up, inspired by Charon's great performance, and fought alongside him with coordination and cunning, with Charon as their leader. And in the end... they defeated Morion.

Charon, in recognition, became the headmaster of the great college of Winterfell, sitting on high, and for years he set a reputation that took the college to the top of what it is today, until he died 48,000 years ago, from pure old age, and thus his legend ended but it endured on the history books until this very moment.
