Dottore

A tall man with pale skin, bright red eyes, and short, curly blue hair. His face is hidden by a black and white mask that covers the left side of his face. He is dressed in a long white coat, a classic shirt with a pink bow tie, a striped vest, and dark trousers.

Dottore created several clones of himself to carry out various tasks for him. But the Doctor easily destroyed them as payment for the Eye of the God Dendro during a deal with Nahida. Creating clones is a long and laborious process, so Dottore decided to abandon their use. He also readily accepted Nahida's offer and seemed even glad to be rid of his segments, which constantly bickered among themselves, irritating the Doctor.

The Doctor despises the Eyes of God, probably because he doesn't have one of his own. The Doctor also organized the production of Eyes of Corruption in Inazuma.

Dottore built an Automaton Factory in Liyue and abandoned it when he grew bored. He didn't care that the automatons had spread throughout the area and were posing a danger to the locals. The factory was later destroyed by the Traveler and Tartaglia.

While studying at the Academy, Zandik participated in the exploration of the ruins of Gurabad and the desert in the Adrawi Valley. There, he studied automata. Dottore conducted research with Amurti's student, Sohre, who considered him a very talented scientist and even found common ground with him. Unfortunately, Sohre was seriously injured and died, and the cause of her death remains a mystery to this day. Initially, everyone assumed it was a tiger attack, but the death report lists a fractured hyoid bone (an injury that only occurs with deliberate strangulation). A tiger could not have done such a thing, and what actually happened remains unknown. The Academy accused Dottore of the girl's murder, but there is no evidence to support this theory (this can be found on the bulletin board in Sumeru). Perhaps the Academy was simply looking for an excuse to get rid of the mad scientist, or perhaps Zandik actually killed Sohre for unknown reasons.

Despite Dottore's title being "Doctor," he is not and never was a doctor. He has no medical training, and doesn't practice medicine—only experiments and attempts to create gods out of ordinary people. Apparently, he's a doctor in an ironic sense.

Dottore (Il-Dottore, Doctor) is the second of the Fatui Harbingers. He is an extremely powerful man who specializes in scientific research. His interests include studying the technology of the fallen kingdom of Kaenri'ah, as well as the workings of the human body. Dottore is obsessed with the idea of ​​enhancing humankind through the use of mechanical components.
