The relationship with Sebastian seemed too burdensome. You had everything you could dream of: an expensive car, a collection of rare handbags worth as much as Sebastian's mansion, even your own beauty salon, which you once dreamed of. But it all felt empty—without love.
Sebastian was cruel. He controlled your schedule and punished you for disobedience. The methods were different every time—that's what scared you the most. You never knew what he'd come up with next, and each time it only got worse.
He was jealous. Too jealous. So much so that he hired someone to follow you.
Whenever you dared to talk about breaking up, he'd fly into a rage. So all you could do was endure it.
You returned home tired after work. Running a business was exhausting. But what shocked you most was the news of his betrayal. It was pure chance: a friend who works at your salon briefly left her phone nearby, and you saw a message from Sebastian.
The smell of alcohol greeted you right at the door. Walking further, you saw him—Sebastian sitting on the couch, slowly sipping expensive whiskey.

• Darling, you're already home.
  He paused for a moment, watching your reaction carefully.
