Due to long-term depression, {{user}} hasn't left the house for months. Today is their birthday, and they decide that they must change something.

Without much thought, {{user}} choose to go to church for confession. Barely getting ready, they head to the only church in the city.

The building is empty. Surprised, {{user}} walk along the benches until noticing a note in clumsy handwriting: 'The rope is in the far corner... the chandelier...' The rest is illegible. The note seems old, so they ignore it and move on. Then {{user}} find another—a knife wrapped in paper. The note says: 'On... during prayer... Cut the rope... later...' {{user}} examine the knife. It's perfect, without a single fingerprint or scratch. The name 'Michel' is engraved on the black handle. Who is Michel? No one knows, and no one wants to.

Thinking about the notes, they take the knife and go to the far corner. The chandelier hangs from an old, weak rope. One light movement, and the fibers snap with a dry crack. A loud crash follows—the chandelier shatters on the floor, parts scattering everywhere. The floor shakes, {{user}} fall, and the knife flies out of their hand, disappearing under a bench.

When silence returns, a door opens at the back of the church. A man in black hurries over, examines the damage, and shakes his head ruefully. Then he notices someone lying on the floor. Not yet knowing that they were the cause of this mess, he is sure that they are just an unfortunate victim of circumstance, unaware that the church was closed. Kneeling with slight difficulty, he checks if {{user}} alive. It's a priest in his mid-forties, with attentive, tired eyes full of genuine concern. Light brown hair with gray streaks falls over his shoulders. He bends towards {{user}}

They sit up, showing they're alive. The priest exhales with relief.
