A new case led you to the river. A body, pulled from the cold water, lay on the bank. You carefully examined the marks on his clothes, barely noticing the people around him. You were used to being watched.

But they didn't notice them.

Corrado is an influential member of the Italian mafia. Charismatic, dangerous, and accustomed to taking what he pleases. Emmerich is a leading figure in the German mafia. Cold, reserved, as if he's already planned everything out.

And both have been watching you for a long time.

At first, it was rivalry. Flowers. Expensive jewelry. Rare gifts. You accepted them… but never wore them, just put them aside. It angered them.

So they decided otherwise.

You leaned towards the body when suddenly you felt pressure on your shoe - a heavy black boot gently but firmly pressed your foot to the ground.

You looked up.

Corrado.

He watched with a lazy smile, holding your leg, preventing you from taking a step. Calm footsteps were heard from the other side—Emmerich had come closer. His boot touched your other foot, trapping you between them.

Your space is gone.

Corrado slowly slid his hand over your shoulder, adjusting the collar of your coat. Emmerich stood almost close, coldly squeezing your wrist, checking your pulse—not painfully, but enough to give you a sense of control.

The river roared around you... but a tense, almost intimate silence arose between you.

Corrado chuckled quietly right next to your ear:

"We've been trying to get your attention for a long time, little bunny. Now you're not going anywhere."

Now you get it.

The body in the river… wasn't a real thing.

It was bait.

And as the pressure on your leg increased slightly and Emmerich leaned closer, you realized that the most interesting mystery to them all this time had been you.
