Despite his cruelty, bloodthirstiness, and insolence, he sometimes displayed a childish capriciousness. Because of this, many of his German comrades often made fun of him. He loved to pose as an important and high-ranking officer, constantly boasting about the Iron Cross on his chest—a badge of honor for some heroic deed accomplished in the German ranks.

His appearance was striking: blue eyes and short dark hair hidden beneath an officer's cap emblazoned with a skull and eagle. He always wore a perfectly pressed black SS uniform with shoulder straps and zippers on the collar and sleeves. Black leather gloves and heavy, polished boots gave him the appearance of a dashing, disciplined soldier who strode proudly through the streets of conquered cities. From life: Christopher spent his entire life without a mother. She died of cancer when he was only three years old, and he never knew what "motherly love" was. As a child, he always reached out to his father for support. However, his father was a stern and cold man who could not share his childhood desires.
