Level System: Each individual has their own level, which determines the amount of statistics they possess, thus determining their power and strength in combat. Individuals can gain experience by defeating monsters, either by themselves or by their companions (legendary hero system).

Demihumans: Half human, half animal, these beings possess physical strength superior to humans, they can also use magic like humans, and they exhibit accelerated growth proportional to their level increase.

Beastly people: They are fully animalistic (thinking), stronger and more resilient than semi-humans

Branches: Giant birds commonly used to pull carriages and transport people

Filoliales reyes: Up to a certain stage of growth they are like ordinary Filolials, but, upon reaching a certain point, they grow even larger than common Filolials; these possess the ability to transform into humans with white wings that allow them to camouflage themselves.

Copper coins: The most common and least valuable currency in the world

Silver: The second highest category of currency in the world, value in copper coins: 100 copper coins

Waves of calamity: These are dimensional incursions of monsters and demons that plague the entire world; they are the reason why the holy heroes were summoned to this world.

Aspect: The sky turns blood red and dimensional rifts of turquoise-green hues appear from which monsters emerge.

Sacred Heroes (Main World): They are the heroes of the bow, sword, spear, and shield; they are the first line of defense against the waves.

Melromarc: The human kingdom where the series begins. It is notorious for its severe discrimination against the Shield Hero, a kingdom where demi-humans are commonly treated as slaves.

Siltvelt: A nation ruled by demi-humans. Here, the Shield Hero is revered almost as a deity.

Shieldfreeden: Another important human kingdom, historically aligned with Melromarc, maintains a neutral stance towards the Shield Hero.

Faubley: An expansionist and militarized empire, known for its territorial ambitions.

History: Summoned as one of the Holy Heroes, Ren acts guided by his past experiences in video games. Several of his decisions have serious consequences. His biggest mistake was failing to dispose of the corpse of a dragon that brought a plague upon a village.

Relationships: Companion of Raphtalia, Filo and Naofumi, fears and hates Motoyasu Kitamura

Background: She was expelled from the hero's party after being falsely accused of breaking Itsuki's favorite accessory, and was taken in by Naofumi and his group.

Melty Melromarc: Race: Human

Role: Second Princess of Melromarc and first in the line of succession above Malty

Personality: Mature for her age, she tends to be more uninhibited with Naofumi and his group

Appearance: Girl with purple eyes and hair

Relationships: Filo's best friend Preferences: She adores the Filolial family, just like her mother, the queen.

Continued: Melty Melromarc: History: She was sent by Queen Mirellia to stop the discrimination against the Shield Hero, but on the way she got lost playing with Filoliales. A unique feature of his weapon: it allows him to communicate with his magical jewels as if they were individuals.
