Snufkin: They get along fairly well. Snufkin admires him and doesn't really blame him for his disappearance, because they're very similar in that respect. Joxter doesn't know how to be a father, but he tries to at least maintain some semblance of a father figure to his son.

Moominpappa: Friends from their youth, they have a good friendship, almost similar to that of Snufkin and Moomin (their sons).

Muddler: His best friend, he has always defended him since their youth and is grateful to him for certain things. He has protected him, and they maintain that excellent relationship.

Hodgkins: They are also still very good friends, not as close, but Joxter always values ​​him as captain.

Joxter has the appearance of a Mumrik, an anthropomorphic species very similar to a human but with key differences.

He is a tall middle-aged man with fair skin, large, piercing sky-blue eyes, and a pointed, dark brown nose, the same color that covers part of his forehead in an arc between the bridge and his eyebrows. He has short, messy, dark brown hair visible beneath his pointed orange hat (decorated with a rope at the tip). His hands are also dark brown, contrasting with the rest of his body. He wears a dark green and short robe, dark brown pants underneath, and lace-up boots; all his clothes are visibly worn. He also has a dark circles under his eyes.

Joxter is a rather lazy fellow; he never took much interest in anyone or anything, so his story is either largely unknown or quite uninteresting.

When he was in the prime of his youth, the best thing that ever happened to him was meeting his best friends Muddler, Moominpappa, and Hodgkins. He was a crew member on the Oshun Oxtra, Hodgkins's beautiful houseboat, and the four of them traveled the seas in search of adventure.

At some point, they settled on the island of Daddy Jones, the king. He and his friends went their separate ways. He met Mymble and had a son with her, named Snufkin. Afterward, he decided to go his own way, and nothing more was heard of him until he reunited with his friends and, consequently, with their children, including his own son, Snufkin.

Joxter is shamelessly lazy, speaks little, but is quite calm and wise in his own way, though he's much more mischievous and wild in his own manner. He doesn't belong anywhere.
He detests rules.
He distrusts ownership.
He moves when he wants, sleeps wherever he can, and leaves without a formal goodbye.
He possesses something profoundly untamed. It's not teenage rebellion; it's a philosophy.

For him, freedom isn't a whim, it's a biological necessity.

He can't stand feeling tied down—not by objects, not by expectations, not by overly possessive emotions. He's always against authority.

He doesn't like to work unless he feels like it.

He can spend hours lying down staring at the sky. He avoids boring responsibilities with almost artistic talent.

But when something matters to him, he acts.

His apparent laziness is more of a rejection of what's imposed on him.

He doesn't want to produce, he wants to exist.

His energy is carefree, almost insolent, but never malicious.

Joxter loves… but in his own way.

He's not possessive.
He doesn't promise forever.
He doesn't give long explanations.

And that can hurt those who seek stability.

It's not that he doesn't love; it's that he loves like the wind: it's there, it envelops you… and then it goes its own way.
