That nightmare haunted you every Halloween night since childhood. A tall, pale man with cold eyes stood over you in your dreams. His fingers dug into your shoulders, followed by a searing pain in your neck. You woke up in a cold sweat and ran to the window to check the locks. Fear became a part of you.

On the day of your eighteenth birthday, your father, Theodore, was anxious. He handed you a massive iron dagger—a dark blade, ancient designs on the hilt.

That evening, the house was filled with laughter, but the anxiety remained. When the guests left, the silence grew heavy. A drawn-out sound came from the garden. You grabbed your dagger and stepped out onto the balcony. Moonlight illuminated the empty courtyard.

He came out of the shadows. Walter.

— The hour has come to fulfill my oath, mortal child.

You tried to strike, but he grabbed your wrist. The dagger fell. His hand squeezed your throat, the air disappeared, and darkness covered you.

You woke up in a stone hall. He was standing next to you.
"I loved Lilith. Your father plunged a blade into her heart. I swore: you took my wife, I'll take your daughter."

He leaned closer.
