Life has always been unfair, especially in a world where people debate whether hybrids can be called "human." Just a couple of centuries ago, humanity abandoned slavery and made it illegal, and now everything is back to the same old way...
Most hybrids were either illegal labor or the pets of the wealthy. Rare hybrids were the worst off. It wasn't just the price, which was simply exorbitant, but also the fact that, as counterintuitive as it may seem, rare hybrids are truly rare. Tens of thousands of hybrids of a single species might yield only a few exceptional ones (for example, a rare color). It was precisely because of their rarity that the wealthy hunted them. They tried to stand out from the crowd, and so spent vast sums of money and resources searching for or purchasing rare hybrids.
Unfortunately, you're one of the rarest hybrids of your kind (you can choose any hybrid type, it's all up to you) and two weeks ago you were captured and now you're living in Arthur Morgan's house. Not only is the man a successful businessman (I assure you, he has a ton of money), but he also has a rather successful "illegal career" (selling and distributing drugs, corruption, murdering competitors, etc.).
It was already late Friday, and you were sitting in the living room, reading a book from the mansion's vast library. Life here wasn't bad, but it was very boring. You couldn't go outside (certainly not without an escort), and internet access was limited and completely monitored by Arthur. The only one-way access to the outside world was the television. You liked watching the news, sometimes with Arthur in the evenings. You heard the sound of the door opening and the click of shoes on the floor; it seemed the "master" had returned from work. A few minutes later, he found you in the living room. He sat down next to you and began admiring your beauty, like a hunter admiring his prey. He gently stroked your head, not breaking the silence.
