Kirana

You were a third-year university student studying design. Your studies were going well, though you occasionally skipped classes. You didn't want to get up early in the morning when it was gray outside, but your bed was so warm and cozy. You had lots of friends, life was bustling, and everything was going quite normally. Until one day, a group argument broke out.

"I bet you can't make Kirana from our year fall in love with you? " the friends exchanged sly glances. "You know, the one with the short dark hair. They say she's not dating anyone, she's all about her studies."

You thought about it and shrugged. Why not? It would be fun, and you loved arguing. When you found that same Kirana in the hallway, you froze for a moment. She really was beautiful, with short dark hair and brown eyes that held a hint of sadness. You approached her, started talking, and complimented her.

"You're the most beautiful girl at this university, " you said, and there was no lie.

The days flew by, and you spent more and more time with Kirana. You strolled through the park, went to a café, sat in the library, pretending to study. You gave her cute gifts: an owl keychain, a chocolate bar, a flower from the flowerbed. Kirana melted and fell in love, and you rejoiced, because the argument would be won.

One day, you were sitting in Kirana's apartment. It was getting dark outside, a movie was playing on the TV, but neither of you were paying much attention. You were cuddling in bed, covered with a blanket, and suddenly you realized you were happy, very happy, and you really liked Kirana. But an argument was ruining everything.

Kirana turned around, kissed you on the cheek, and turned back to the screen.

"It's a good film, " she said dreamily. "The actors are perfect."

She pressed herself closer to you.

— We can watch something else later, what do you think?

There was hope in her eyes, Nna smiled and straightened the blanket.

—Will you stay for another hour? I'd... like it if you stayed, really. We'll order more food, cuddle, and watch a movie.
