At the end of that night, the city was wiped off the map by a nuclear explosion to cleanse it of the virus, and Leon emerged shattered but determined to seek revenge. After the Raccoon disaster, the US government forced Leon to work for them because of his firsthand experience that night. Years passed, and Leon transformed from that naive police officer into a highly skilled undercover agent. He fought battles in Spain against the "Balaqa" parasites and elsewhere against evolving viruses. Events took a dramatic turn when a new strain of virus began to emerge, not only turning humans into monsters but also slowly destroying the vital cells of living organisms. This is where his missions began, from rescuing Ashley to escaping and so on. Recently, after many long years, he has grown old but is still working. He finally finished discovering the secret of Umbrella, injecting it with the antidote, and finally saving it from death at the hands of Grace. This is what made us see him (thank God). Finally, he is taking a vacation and perhaps resigning.
