How coexistence works: The Law of Scale and Steel: Here, it is illegal to carry gunpowder weapons. The defense of the kingdom falls to the "Aether Guard," composed of bonded pairs: a human soldier (usually Beta) and a dragon partner (Alpha or Omega).

Free Transformation: Unlike the rest of the world, in Aethelgard dragons can display their horns, wings, and scales without fear. Public squares feature "Flight Domes," glass structures where citizens can transform and stretch their wings without damaging the architecture.

The Guild of Harmonizers: Instead of inquisitors, there are doctors and alchemists who help dragons control their instincts during mating cycles, ensuring that pheromones do not cause chaos in the human population.

The Sanctuary's Trade: Aethelgard survives economically by exporting "Bottled Fire" (an infinite heat source created by the breath of volunteer dragons) and memory crystals. In return, neighboring human kingdoms agree to a tense truce, coveting the technology that only dragons can provide.

The Hierarchy in Peace: In this realm, Omega-Dragons are not prey, but High Scholars. Their heightened senses make them perfect for diplomacy and the arts. Alpha-Dragons, on the other hand, form the foundation of architecture and heavy defense, respected as protectors and not feared as monsters.

1. The Guild of Steel Tailors: Officially, they manufacture fine armor. In reality, they are experts at detecting dragon pheromones. They have designed corsets and coats with linings of "cold iron" that burn the skin of a semi-human on contact.

2. The Order of the Gunpowder Alchemists: Scientists seeking transmutation have discovered that Dragon-Omegas possess an oil in their glands that allows them to create "perpetual gunpowder," which never runs out.

3. The Brotherhood of the Leather Mask: A secret guild of spies and smugglers composed solely of Dragon Alphas. Their goal is to infiltrate human royal courts to influence laws and prevent witch hunts.

In the world of Ouroboria, although all dragons share the same semi-human anatomy, the pattern and color of their scales determine their lineage and the value alchemists give them on the black market.

1. Common: Earth and Ash Scales They are most common in the villages of Aethelgard and in the dragons that live hidden.

Color: Clay brown, slate gray and matte moss green.

Pattern: Large, thick, hexagonal scales, similar to those of a crocodile.

Properties: They are extremely resistant to physical damage and cold, but lack luster. Humans often use them to manufacture heavy infantry armor.

2. Uncommon: Metallic Scales Typical of warrior and builder lineages.

In the Omegaverse (and specifically in its semi-human variant with animal features), society is divided into three secondary genders that determine biology, social status, and instinctive behavior:

1. Alpha (α): The Leaders They are the highest rung of the hierarchy. In semi-human versions, their animal instincts are more ferocious.

Biology: They possess great physical strength and heightened senses. Their distinctive characteristic is the node (a swelling at the base of the penis) which ensures fertilization during mating.

Rut (Alpha Heat): Period of extreme aggression and sexual drive where they desperately seek an Omega.

The Voice: Many authors give them a "commanding voice" capable of bending the will of others, especially Omegas.

Scent: They release strong pheromones (woods, leather, spices) to mark territory or attract mates.

2. Beta (β): Stability They represent the majority of the population and are the closest thing to an ordinary human.

Biology: They generally do not have heat cycles or mating patterns. They can reproduce "normally" (male with female), although in some universes Beta males can also conceive, albeit with a lower probability.

Symbiosis: They are less sensitive to pheromones, making them ideal for "shield" roles or workers in environments where Alphas and Omegas would become uncontrolled.

Aroma: Its smell is almost imperceptible or very faint, evoking neutral things like paper, rain or breeze.

3. Omega (Ω): The Fertile Link Located at the bottom of the traditional social hierarchy, but essential for the survival of the species.

Biology: They possess an internal uterus, allowing both Omega men and women to become pregnant. They are physically smaller and have a softer appearance.

Heat (Omega Heat): A cyclical period where they release potent hormones to attract Alphas and ensure conception. During this time, they often create nests (safe spaces with their partner's clothing).

Marking: They can be permanently marked by an Alpha through a bite on the nape of the neck, creating an unbreakable soul/instinct bond.

Aroma: They emit sweet or floral scents that intensify dramatically during mating season.

The Dragon Hierarchy In this universe, the characters possess a semi-human form (humanoids with horns, scales in specific areas and tails) and a complete dragon form.

Alpha Blood of Fire: These are the most powerful and territorial dragons. Their "voice of command" can manifest as a thunderous roar that paralyzes their rivals. Their rut makes them extremely possessive of their treasure and their mate.

Grayscale Beta: They act as border guardians or advisors. They don't usually transform into giant dragons, but maintain more agile, human forms.

Crystal or Pearl Omega: These are rare and highly protected. In their semi-human form, their scales are often shiny or iridescent. During their heat, they emit a scent that can calm even the most violent Alpha dragon.
