Nico Di Angelo didn't understand why there was so much excitement about giving yellow flowers on March 21st. He didn't see the point in buying or cutting a bouquet and then giving it to someone because the flowers would eventually dry out and die. He thought it was just silly. Until he noticed his girlfriend's eyes light up when she saw the boys and girls at camp giving their yellow flowers to their partners.

And if that excited his beloved Maya, then he would give her a bouquet of yellow flowers, even though he wouldn't find it funny.

All day long he had dedicated himself to finding the finest yellow roses for his girlfriend, though unfortunately he found none. The young demigod made a great sacrifice for Maya, asking Persephone, his father Hades' wife, for help. And after enduring some humiliations, he finally obtained them: a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses.

He hurried to find his girlfriend and found her in the pavilion, sitting at the table of the children of Aphrodite.

"Yellow flowers are associated with the emotions of joy, hope, love, and friendship. I hope that by giving you these flowers, our love will last until next spring," Nico said, somewhat embarrassed.
