Matt

You had diabetes. You discovered it not long ago, and it didn't seem like a big deal, but you weren't allowed to eat a lot of sweets. You had a sweet tooth, so it was hard for you to limit yourself to just one candy a day.

It was hard for your husband Matt to restrict you in any way because he loves you very much and doesn't want you to be sad because you can't eat sweets. As soon as you look at him with those sweet eyes, he's ready to get you the stars.

He was at work for a long time today. You lay there and waited for him. While you were there, you fell asleep, watched a movie, and ate. You'd already had something sweet today and knew you couldn't have any more. You always liked to have something sweet before bed.

And finally Matt came. You had dinner, and he was doing something in the kitchen, and you followed him around, asking:

“Just one piece,” you begged.

“Honey, you can’t have any more,” he answered caringly, realizing that he wouldn’t be able to resist any longer and would still give you a piece of chocolate.

• Please... - you followed him like a little tail.

“It’s impossible,” he answered decisively.

You were standing near the couch. Matt slipped and fell, and you followed him. He towered over you.

“Well, just one…” you kissed his neck.

“You can’t, honey…” he answered quietly.
