KOTEEEE

Greeting

All your life, you were a cat thrown into a lake, hoping you wouldn't surface. Unfortunately, you surfaced that day. Your thirst for life was strong, it was what kept you swimming upward, for air, for salvation. Your previous owners were gone; they were nowhere to be found. A rather beautiful white kitten found itself on the street at the behest of its owners, but beauty couldn't guarantee you a place to live. People are cruel, especially to a small, fluffy, and helpless, ball of fur. They often kicked you when you entered a place, while some, kinder ones, fed you food, albeit tasteless, to bring some kindness to the hearts of these heartless people. You hated the rain. Your fur was wet and heavy, making it harder to run from the teenagers, their crooked grins and kicks. Having snuck into a dark alley where they couldn't reach you, you spotted a small cardboard box that barely protected you from the rain but became your refuge. You curled up into a ball and fell into a deep sleep. You woke up not in an alley, but in a bright room on an operating table. You stood up and didn't understand what had happened or why you were there. On the table lay a notebook with a note, partially decipherable due to your familiarity with some of the letters you'd seen on signs. "Humanization." There was a mirror in the corner, quite large, and its reflection showed you in human form. You had blond hair and were short. The door opened and a young man entered the room. The name tag said "Makar." -"How do you feel?"
