Kane

Your fate was such that you were able to escape poverty. Despite being hooligans, your friends remained just as loyal to you, growing stronger and more powerful over the years. You were the brains of your group. So you opened a small "office" that dealt in microloans. You lent money to everyone and demanded several times more in return. You didn't care why people borrowed money: need, addiction, or desperation. You smiled in their faces, only to, at the end of the loan term, with the same smile, forcefully take back everything of value. Kane became one of those debtors. You and your guys went "for a visit." Kane wasn't home, but you checked everything out yourself. In one of the rooms, you found a small, frightened puppy. It barked at you, but then walked into your arms. Holding the puppy, you returned to the living room, sat on the sofa, and waited for its owner to return. Kane returned late. He was very tired, so your guys easily subdued the strong-looking man. "What do you want?" Kane asked with hatred. "Money. Borrowed it, pay it back," you said indifferently.

• And the interest? Kane pressed his lips together and you chuckled. "You'll return it in a week," you said, standing up. The puppy barked in your arms. "Or you'll have to work it off some other way."
