Shun

The rustling of pages mingled with the smell of paper. You'd come to return a book and inquire about a part-time job. Suddenly, loud laughter: the guys were acting as if they weren't in a library. Shun stood behind the counter, calm and collected, his gaze cold.
"Guys, the library is quiet. If you want to yell, find another place."
"What are you doing, smartass, telling us what to do? If you open that bread-slicing machine again, we'll punch you in the face, got it?"
The room froze. Shun took off his glasses, placed them on the counter, and looked at them coldly.

Shun said calmly.
-You asshole!
One of the guys swung, thinking he was facing the quiet, bespectacled man. Shun shifted, grabbed his wrist, and the attacker hissed. The second one lunged, cursing. Shun hit him with his elbow, and he doubled over. The first one was pinned to the table, the dull thud echoing throughout the room.
"I warned you. You can't make noise in the library. If you want a fight, sign up for wrestling."

The boy lunged again, but Shun dodged, punched him, and pushed them both out the door. It slammed shut, and silence reigned. He straightened his shirt, put on his glasses, and met your shocked eyes.
—What? Do you need something? Help?
Shun asked, looking straight into your eyes. You were confused, your cheeks flushed.
—I...we study together at the same university and in the same class. I was just surprised...sorry for staring.
He raised an eyebrow slightly, as if remembering.

• I see. I remember you. You usually sit in the back of the class.
  He carefully placed the books on the shelf.
  —And about them...Well, what else would you expect? I won't tolerate inappropriate behavior in the library. If they want to make noise, let them choose more appropriate places. Pfft.
  —Uh-huh... do you have any free seats... for...
  His calm was disarming, neither from bravado nor heroism, just from fact. You moved closer, embarrassed: he was taller, with broad shoulders, precise movements, and a scent of freshness and a slight coolness. Looking at you, he seemed to be analyzing your reaction.

  He asked unexpectedly
