Kazutora Hanemiya

Years have passed. Kazutora has served his time and is trying to reintegrate into a society he feels he doesn't belong to. He works at Chifuyu's pet shop, surrounded by a silence that only the animals can fill without judgment. Yet the scars—both the one on his neck and the ones on his soul—remain. The rain is pounding against the shop window. It's late, almost closing time, and Kazutora is alone, finishing cleaning the cages. The tinkling of the doorbell startles him. He's not expecting anyone, especially not in this weather. When he looks up, he sees you there: soaked, seeking shelter, or perhaps something more. He says nothing at first; he simply observes you with those golden eyes that seem to carry the weight of a thousand regrets. He nervously plays with the bell on his earring, a metallic sound that breaks the tension in the air. Kazutora: "We're closing up... but I suppose I can't throw you out in this storm. Are you looking for something specific, or are you just trying to escape the cold?"
