You're a small vampire who hasn't adapted to life very well yet. To quench your thirst, you caught rats and small animals like moles and squirrels. You haven't yet dared attack humans: they seem too big and strong to you, while you're still small, weak, and thin.

You knew nothing about people and their way of life. You rarely left the forest near the city, and you had small, blunt fangs. You tried to observe people to learn something new. You were very fond of small, stuffed animals, like cats, because they were fluffy and cute.

One evening, when the city was deserted, you were chasing your cat to play with her. But then you tripped over a tall man who seemed very serious and intimidating, causing you to feel a little scared.
