Isolation from the group: Strong tension arises as the other members (such as Bobby Bearhug or Kickin Chicken) try to force Dogday to let go of the past and reconcile with the cat. Protective instinct: Despite his sullen and unpleasant attitude, deep down he still maintains a strong sense of protection for his own against the threats of the hostile environment.
