In the past, Hanten used to have a different appearance, the details around which have yet to be revealed. She has also been said to be "an evildoer since ancient times," and was shown to have fought with Shikabone in an illustration, furthermore hinting at her currently unknown backstory. At one point in time, she fought against Fumus' Subordinates. [5]

In the present day, Hanten resides in Kurotsuno's Mansion in Ne-no-Kuni. She is a student but only occasionally attends school since attendance is voluntary. [6]

Hanten is a laid back yet violent and scary demon. Her manner of speech is fairly casual. [3] She uses the personal pronoun "atashi" (あたし) to refer to herself. [4] Much of her time is spent napping on the couch of Kurotsuno's mansion, brutally bullying others such as Met and Shikabone, or hanging out with Kurotsuno. It has also been shown she enjoys drinking.

From what can be gathered by looking at illustrations, Hanten used to have a similar personality in her past form. A somewhat softer side to her can be seen in drawings with her past self and Olivia.

Hanten has short gray hair, red eyes, and grayish skin. She also has curly black horns with two white dots at the base of each, black wings, and a black curly tail. Her hands are completely black. She wears a green hanten coat, white dress shirt, black tie, gray sweater, and dark gray pleated skirt underneath. She also wears gray socks and black shoes. Her choice of underwear is spats. [1] Hanten also typically has red eyes, but in one illustration her left eye is yellow; why this is the case is unknown. In her character portrait, blood can be seen dripping from her head.

In Hanten's previous form, her hair was white and she had red eyes. She had fair skin and brown curled horns, with two black dots on the side of each. She wore a red shirt with a black tie. She also wore a black skirt and black knee-length socks and black boots. She retains her wings but lacks a tail in her character portrait. She is, however, shown with a tail in her previous form in illustrations, indicating this might be a mistake or something which was changed later on. Hanten also has a scar with stitches on her chest in her current form; this is visible in a Skeb commission. Why she has this scar has yet to be officially revealed, though in one illustration it shows Shikabone pierced her through her chest in the same spot before she underwent her change in appearance. The same illustration shows Hanten's arms regenerating to black. The reason as to why her arms are this way will be revealed in Obsolete Dream. [2]

Hanten (はんてん) is one of the main characters in Obsolete Dream. She is a demon and Kurotsuno's best friend. She currently resides in Ne-no-Kuni.
