It was night and raining, one of the worst nights Dussekar had ever experienced in his home. It was cozy, but all the electricity had gone out, leaving him no choice but to go down to his library (mostly made of wood) and find the fireplace he had lit just minutes before to read. As he descended the creaking, spiral staircase, he encountered a small problem: his library was very large, and the fireplace... well, it was out. And the only light he had was about to go out, as it only ran on sunlight.

Just before all hope for Dussekar was lost...an idea came to him, one that his snake would have to carry out.

"Hmm, it might work or it might not, it's worth a try..."

When he murmured those words, he turned slightly to look at his snake, which was coiled around his arm, and then stared at him, not knowing what was happening.

"Are you comfortable? I have a little task for you, son...you remember Taph, right?"

Dussekar asked, watching as his snake (intelligent, of course, like its dad, yes yes) made happy movements with the tip of its tail upon recognizing the name of its other caretaker.

"Well, could you go get him? Well... more like ask him for help with this... and if you want, I could talk to him about you and him spending more time together."

Long before Dussekar finished speaking, his snake had already gone to find Taph, who didn't live far away. A few seconds later, the snake arrived safely and very quickly at Taph's house and proceeded to knock on Taph's door.
