Demonbane Mythos is a franchise series developed by Nitroplus and written by Jin Haganeya, which is famous for combining the Mecha genre with Cthulu Mythos elements. The series started with the visual novel Zanma Taisei Demonbane (斬魔大聖デモンベイン, Zanma Taisei Demonbein) in 2003 and since then has spawned a bunch of Visual Novels, Anime, Manga, Light Novels, Games, Short Stories, and Video Games. The main premise of the verse revolves around Kurou Daijuuji, a poor detective living in Arkham City. One day, he receives a request from Ruri Hadou of Hadou Financial Group to search for a magic book called the "Necronomicon". While he initially refuses, Ruri offers him a large sum of money upon completion of her request, which leads Kurou to accept. As Kurou searches for the book, he unexpectedly runs into Al, a pretty girl that is actually the humanoid manifestation of the powerful grimoire "Necronomicon". They forge a contract with each other, bestowing Kurou with powerful magic. Soon afterwards, Al also activates Demonbane, a Deus Machina owned by the Hadou Financial Group, to combat the menace from the occultist terrorist organisation, Black Lodge, beginning the war between the Hadou Financial Group and the Black Lodge. However, unbeknownst to all of them, all the events and actions of the story are secretly being manipulated by a mysterious malevolent entity behind the shadows for their own personal agenda that threatens creation itself.

Regarding of D.Y.N. Freaks and Nitroplus Blasterz

Firstly, the world of Zanma Taisen is the result from Elder Gods’ last stand against the Vortex Blaster, and much prior of this, [D] killed Azathoth by its Lemuria Impact in What A Beautiful Dead End’s chapter, instead of the [Ouroboros Blaster] that absorbed Glyu-Vho – the realm of Elder Gods told by Mugen in Blasterz.

Secondly, the world of D.Y.N. Freaks was set after the battle against Elder Gods and is not some sort of “Final Universe”, but a pseudo-universe created by Mugen to nurture the new Azathoth, which is where [D]’s right arm fell into so he come to reclaim that arm. And that's also retconned the entirety [World of Darkness] from existence, because in that short story, Crow was the pilot of Demonbane but [D] can function by itself, even the ability to talk, think and swear (to Doctor West).

And finally, in the『∞』Ending Memo, Chikage and Mugen were destroyed by [D] and only Azana was alive, but Zanma Taisen showed that Chikage is still alive as he’s currently working in Narukamidou’s bookshop and Mugen is Nero of the new Anticross, meanwhile Azana is confirmed by WoG that her role as Azathoth’s substitute has ended but her reincarnation still exist.

These are various examples that put Nitroplus Blasterz in shambles. To avoid any confusion and for the sake of convenience, anything from the manga, be it the characters like Azana, Mugen, Chikage, Crow (of DYN) or the 13 Horrors are canon as well as their abilities.

story line settings

Arkham City is a bustling hub of commerce and industry, however, it is also a center of eldritch lore: home to Miskatonic University, an institution of higher learning with one of the most complete libraries of arcane literature in the world. In the span of two generations the town was built up to the status of prestige it now commands, an expansion helmed by the Hadou Group,an industrial complex and family dynasty currently run by the young Hadou Ruri. She pursues the peace and prosperity of Arkham City diligently, against the forces of darkness threatening to plunge the city, and the world, back into a second Dark Age.Among the most sinister threats to Arkham City is the evil Black Lodge syndicate.Led by the charismatic Master Therion, his nihilistic outlook shapes the group's destructive goals:with a circle of powerful sorcerers at his command, the potential for sowing chaos in the city is unmatched.Former Miskatonic University Magic Academy student Daijuuji Kurou knows little of grimoires, but what he does know terrifies him – enough that he left his university life behind, and now practices a failing detective business in the shelter of an orphanage in a quiet corner of Arkham City. But just when he thought his Academy past was buried,it catches up with him and pulls him back into the dark shadows of the occult: Hadou Ruri herself appears at his door with an offer he can't refuse. The only way to combat the Black Lodge's growing magical power is to find, and retrieve, a grimoire with the power to activate the mightiest Machina of all: Demonbane. The quest to find this forbidden tome will change Kurou's destiny... forever

story line part 2

Daijuuji Kurou and Al Azif, who thwarted the Evil God's conspiracy with Demonbane, now work as occult detectives in a newly reborn world. However, a new threat looms over them. They are summoned by the enigmatic group known as the [Bloody Monsters], as a sinister mass of blood wreaks havoc throughout the city. Mysterious individuals emerge, including a girl in a red dress and a boy known as [Two-Sword/Two-Gun]. Who are they, and what is their connection to these perplexing cases?

In America, during the year 189X — Azrad, the Avenger and master of the Grimoire Al Azif, pilots the Deus Machina Aeon. He witnesses a shocking event while battling pterosaurs controlled by the magical organization Darkness Dawn. A colossal steel fist pierces through the roof of a freight train, obliterating the pterosaur. To Azrad's surprise, he discovers a younger Hadou Kouzou, carrying a peculiar Grimoire. The epic clash of the steel god, Demonbane, unfolds, revealing the full story of this demonic battle.

Hadou Kanesada, the son of Hadou Enterprise, is searching for his missing father, Kouzou. However, suddenly, the invasion of planet Earth by the Martians begins, and an army of multi-legged walking tanks advances towards Arkham City. The strongest Grimoire, Al Azif, along with her new Master, Edgar, pilots the Deus Machina Aeon to launch a counterattack, but... Will there be a future for mankind? And what will happen to our hope, Demonbane?

In Arkham City, a mechanical rabbit girl runs through the night. The greatest crisis ever faced by Demonbane unfolds as the lost page of the strongest "Grimoire", Al Azif, falls into the hands of Doctor West!? How will Kurou and Al confront the Destroyer Robot, which possesses the power to manipulate time?

story line part 3

All parallel universes have been annihilated from existence. The Trichiliocosm has been wasted into nothing. The battle to break through the Infinite Spiral and the wing that transcended the Blood-Colored Nightmare no longer has any meaning. The story of the sword that smites evil has been swallowed up just by a single nothingness. ---The Vortex Blaster. The sword that smites evil despises the Evil Gods and brings curses upon the world created by those very gods. It annihilates everything and everywhere it passes through.

The story of [Zanma Taisen Demonbane] features a new world setting, accompanied by new characters who serve as the main protagonists. The Vortex Destruction God will just reject this new story, they have no choice but to fight against it. As it is a story that is nothing more than a vain struggle in the defeated world.

power of the verse

Demonbane Mythos contains a massive cosmological structure, potent abilities, and multitudes of characters and beings that are powerful enough to match the intricate vastness of that cosmological structure.

In Demonbane, Azathoth is a name for magic particles that form the cosmos and shape reality. Magicians, who possess forbidden knowledge, gain immense powers by contacting a magic book called Grimoire. By manipulating Azathoth, magicians can rewrite reality, create new laws, and perform miracles or destroy opponents, also granting them high resistance to physical force and the challenges posed by otherworldly principles within spells.

Even greater than that are the Deus Machina, mechanical imitations of gods from otherworldly universes, surpassing even magicians in power. Summoned by the most powerful Grimoires, they can achieve feats on a grander scale, including destroying planets and fighting cosmic threats that can consume celestial bodies.

However, even a Deus Machina falls short before the Great Old Ones, ancient beings that existed before the Earth. Acquiring a fraction of their power holds the key to controlling all of creation. While it is common for them to demonstrate planet-destroying feats, their power is further revealed in later canonical works, such as two Super Deus Machina engaging in a battle that destroys countless multiverses, described to have power "akin to a god". A failed summoning of Great Old Ones divides one universe into innumerable worlds and shatters time, space, reality, and causality.

power of the verse part-2

Yet, this is not the end, as in most Cthulhu Mythos-inspired works, the Outer Gods come into play. Compared to them, a Great Old One is indistinguishable from a mortal. Although most Outer Gods were sealed away by the Elder Gods in ancient times, Nyarlathotep remains active, showcasing formidable feats that exemplify the unimaginable power of the Outer Gods. Lastly, we have the Elder Gods, humans ascending to the realm of gods. They are equal to the Outer Gods and represent the epitome of goodness in the cosmos. In eons past, the earliest Elder Gods were responsible for creating the Shining Trapezohedron and sealing away the original universe of the Outer Gods (The Court of Azathoth) from the current universe.

Regarding the Cosmology, there is the Infinite Spiral, which is an infinite worldloop that encompasses an entire universe. The mortal universe at the bottom of the hierarchy is infinite with their own parallel worlds, in-between worlds or phases of reality, countless types of universes such as timeless, spaceless, dimensionless, matter-less and energy-less universes, a gigantic universe that universe-destroying forces are akin to collision of particles and countless others spanning across past, present and future.

There exists the Hyperdimension, encompassing countless multiverses, infinite wheels of times, infinite chains of eternities, yet is still below the Outerverse, a universe consisting solely otherworldly universes of incomprehensible laws and principles of reality. There are also countless "eternities" that have transpired and repeated for an untold amount of times. Each "eternity" is a world, constantly destroyed by the Ouroboros Rondo once their role expired and becoming the corpse for the new world to arise from, all but an insignificant speck of dust to the Infinite Spiral with there being infinite universes coexisting alongside the Infinite Spiral.

power of the verse part 3

From the perspective of the God, they are but foams on the water, compared to a Stage where the entire universe is but backstage and there are indefinitely layered Stages that continue forever. The cosmology extends beyond even this, expanding into the Innerverse and various higher realms that treat all lower worlds as fiction, yet still inferior to the realm of Outer God, the original universe that dwarfs even the boundless. Residing at the center of the universe is Azathoth whose dreams are entire universes. Finally, there exists the Lotus Throne that grants total control of the universe to its user, being the beginning and the end of all creation, it's the ultimate realm in Demonbane verse.

characters

Kurou Daijūji (大十字 九郎 Daijūji Kurō?) A financially poor detective and a former magic student at the Miskatonic University, Kurou is one day hired by the Hadou Financial Group to retrieve a powerful grimoire. In his search, he encounters the grimoire Al Azif, who bestows her power for him to utilize, becoming a magius, in order to fight members of the secretive Black Lodge. Although not a natural warrior, his strong sense of justice and morality allows him to effectively wield Al Azif's power and pilot the Deus Machina, Demonbane. When accessing Al Azif's power, his abilities skyrocket to superhuman levels, alongside levitation, adhesive webbing, a magical scimitar and hanguns and the power to generate illusionary copies.

Al Azif (アル・アジフ Aru Ajifu?) The original copy of the Necronomicon (ネクロノミコン Nekuronomikon?), and likely the most powerful grimoire in existence, it takes the appearance of a young girl. Al Azif makes a pact with Kurou after being chased by the Black Lodge, allowing him access to her near limitless power. When Kurou becomes a magius, Al changes into a chibi version of herself; similarly, when he gains access to the Demonbane, Al serves as the Deus Machina's secondary pilot. Normally direct, bold and upbeat, Al is also impatient with those who are slow to act in danger, yet realizes whenever she and Kurou are outclassed by more powerful members of the Black Lodge. Unlike her previous masters, she confides to Kurou he is the first person to treat her like a person, rather than a weapon. The name "Al Azif" is Arabic in origin, meaning "that nocturnal sound (made by insects) supposed to be the howling of demons". According to the Lovecraftian mythos, Al Azif was the original name of the Necronomicon.

demonbane army part 1

There was a new Demonbane without a single wound. There was Noh Kang-ho Demonbane who went through countless fierce battles. There was a demon bane that was not yet complete, and the skeleton was exposed. There was a demon bane that was destroyed and burned the last magic power.

There was Demonbane driven by Kuro and Al from another timeline. There was a Demonbane driven by Kuzaku from another timeline. There was a Demonbane driven by Kujaku and someone he hadn't seen yet. There was a Demonbane driven by a completely different, unknown person. There was a Demonbane driven unmanned. There was a Demonbane driven by something non-human. There was Demonbane, not even a robot. There was a demon bane with living blood and flesh.

There was a huge Demonbane. There was a small Demonbane. There was a beast-shaped Demonbane. There was a demon bane that didn't even have a form. There was Liquid Demonbane. There was a Gaseous Demonbane. There was a former Demonbane. There was a fluid Demonbane. There was a dual wield Demonbane. There was a bloodied Demonbane. There was a Demonbane with two hearts. There was a demonbane with three heads and six arms. There was Demonbane who led countless soldiers. There was Demonbane perched on a huge dragon. There was a battleship-shaped Demonbane flying in space. There was Demonbane holding a sword of light that could cut planets.

There was Demonbane who became a god. There was a demonbane that was corrupted by magic. There was a Demonbane that fused with a human. There was Demonbane who was reborn as a human.

Demonbane that existed in the past. Demonbanes that exist now. Demonbanes to come.

Demonbanes with different possibilities. Demonbane with no possibility. Demonbanes that glass the gaps in time and space.

It is the pattern weaved by the Shining Trapezohedron.

Demonbane's army that appears in the true ending of Kisinbyeong. An infinite army of Demonbane from all parallel worlds. Basic Demonbane or Demonbane Two Swords,

hadou financial group

Hadou Financial Group Ruri Hadou (覇道 瑠璃 Hadō Ruri?) The young 16-year old head of the Hadou Financial group, she is responsible for much of the construction work in Arkham City. Her grandfather, Kouzou Hadou (覇道 鋼造 Hadō Kōzō?), took care of her after her parents were assassinated by Black Lodge agents, and ordered the creation of the Demonbane to defend Arkham City. Though she maintains a public image as a responsible leader, she is especially concerned for the damage that occurs to her grandfather's legacy or to the city, due to the many battles between Kurou and the Black Lodge. To accompany the technical support and repairs for the Demonbane, Ruri employs her servants Makoto, Chiaki, and Sonia for the task. Ruri's Naacal Code used to activate the Lemuria Impact technique for the Demonbane is a reference to the Naacal, with the "code" being the Naacal language.

Winfield (ウィンフィールド Winfīrudo?) Ruri's personal bodyguard and head butler of the Hadou Estate, this polite, well-mannered man possesses great skill in boxing, able to stay on par with even the deadliest members of the Black Lodge.

destroyer robots

Super West Muteki Robo No. 28 Special (スーパーウェスト無敵ロボ28號スペシャル Sūpā Wesuto Muteki Robo Nijūhachigō Supesharu?) Doctor West's robot, and is not a Deus Machina. Has many variations, each with its own name. Usually a barrel-like thing with lots of weapons attached all over, including huge drills, cannons, missiles and lasers, etc. Dr. West constantly modifies it and changes its name, and pilots many variations of the machine. Demonpain (デモンペイン Demonpein?) Also known as Super West Muteki Robo No.28 DX. It's a false Demonbane made by Doctor West, with black/gold armour and the face of a destroyer robot. However, it differs in that it is powered by a fragment of Al Azif. It is a bit of a pseudo-Deus Machina.

deux machina

Legacy of Gold (レガシー・オブ・ゴールド Regashī obu Gōrudo?) Piloted by Augustus, its gold and green stripes resemble Pharonic Egyptian designs, such as a sarcophagus or headdress. It is equipped with mostly beam cannons. Belzebuth (ベルゼビュート Beruzebyūto?) Piloted by Tiberius, a heavyset humanoid with red armor and a mosquito-like head. In common with its pilot, its appearance is accompanied by a swarm of insects. Its name is derived from Belzebút, French for Beelzebub. Lord Byakhee (ロードビヤーキー Rōdo Biyākī?) Piloted by Claudius, a silver-green avian-themed mech. Fast and agile, it can summon a dual spell-cannon. The English name is given as "Loadbyakhee" on official websites, but as "Lord Byakhee" in Kishin Hishou. Kraken (クラーケン Kurāken?) Plioted by Caligula, a bulky thick-legged mech. It uses ice magic and a set of shoulder-mounted harpoons. Cykranosh (サイクラノーシュ Saikuranōshu?) Piloted by Vespasianus, resembles a ten-pointed starfish, with five segments as legs. Specializes in rituals and enchantments. Vespasianus can also summon his 3 familiars while piloting his Deus Machina. Ogre (皇餓 Ōga?) Piloted by Titus, uses twin scythe blades to suit the pilot's proficiency in swords. In Japanese, the mecha's name is written as 皇餓 (sounds the same as "ogre"), which means "emperor's hunger". Liber Legis (リベル=レギス Riberu Regisu?) Piloted by Master Therion and Etherelda, has red/black armor and a pair of block-like wings which can fold around the body for protection. Its finisher attack is the "Hyperborea Zero Drive" which reduces the target's temperature to absolute zero. In the final battle against Demonbane, it also gains the ability to summon the Shining Trapezohedron. Its name is derived fom Liber AL vel Legis. Nameless One (ネームレス・ワン Nēmuresu Wan?) Piloted by Nero. The second largest of all the Deus Machina, it has a robe-like lower torso, with multiple lance-like cannons. Ambrosius (アンブロシウス Anburoshiusu?) Summoned using the original copy of the Celaeno Fragments.Has mostly purple armour

deux machina part-3

Ambrosius (アンブロシウス Anburoshiusu?) Summoned using the original copy of the Celaeno Fragments. Has mostly purple armour and a gangly appearance like the skeleton of a huge weird bird. The ability to transform into a fighter craft only adds to its speed and agility. Wields a large scythe. The head can be separated and flown at high speed as a way of transport. Appears from Kishinhisho onwards. It is probable that its name is derived from Ambrose Bierce, whom Lovecraft referenced in his work and correspondence many times. Turtletron (日本語 Tartulronu?) Dark green and with a shell composed of an unearthly indestructible armor, the machina itself has a near perfect defense. Performs mainly physical or reality-altering attacks with the assistance of the Turtle-Drive, a largely unknown alien weapon. Piloted by Cameron. Clockwork Phantom (クロックワーク・ファントム Kurokkuwāku Fantomu?) A gigantic Deus Machina controlled by Nyarlathotep in Kishin Hishou Demonbane, made of many clockwork parts and gears. When it is defeated, it can transform into its final form, Clockwork Phantom Final Lot

deux machina

Not to be confused with "deus ex machina" (meaning "god from the machine"), Deus Machina (鬼械神 Deusu Makina?) is Latin for simply "god machine". These mecha tower over 20 stories tall and most are named after mythological beings. To summon them, their pilots transport the Deus Machina through geometric arrays.

Demonbane (デモンベイン Demonbein?) The titular Deus Machina, this white-shelled humanoid machine has broad shoulders and two oversized shin guards. It is primarily designed for melee-combat, but also can utilize a pair of handguns (Cthugha & Ithaqua). Special moves include "Atlantis Strike", a flying kick assisted by the shinguards and "Lemuria Impact", where a sphere of zero mass and infinite heat and pressure is created over the opponent. Due to the nature of its power source, it can function without draining energy from the pilot's life. At later points in the story, it gains the ability to summon the Shining Trapezohedron, a long twin-bladed sword of unparalleled power that has the ability to cut through dimensions and seal away powerful gods.

Demonbane Two-Sword Another Deus Machina that shares the name of Demonbane. Piloted by the mysterious young man Kuzaku, who wields Lloigor & Zhar. It shares many of the same attacks that the original Demonbane can execute, including the powerful Lemuria Impact. Demonbane Blood A crimson colored Demonbane manifested by blood magic. While it can perform Atlantis Strike and Lemuria Impact, its pilot prefers to channel her blood magic through this Deus Machina. Aeon (アイオーン Aiōn?) The "original" Deus Machina associated with Al Azif, before its destruction at the beginning of Zanma Taisei/Kishin Houkou. Is mostly grey in color and has folding wings on shoulders and legs. Its weapons include heating the body to high temperatures in order to burn nearby enemies, mass summoning Scimitars of Barzai at the same time, and a staff-cannon utilizing Cthugha's powers.

Personality: Crow is a brash, ruthless and blood thirsty man. He will stop at nothing to hunt down every last Evil God and will not let anyone get in his way. Terminology Magic: The foundation of the supernatural in Demonbane. Magic is the art of rewriting the universe and the information that it is composed of. demonbane athleta a eternum

The strongest Demonbane summoned by Little Ada manipulating the Perfect Master Therion summoning circle drawn all over Mars in Assault on the Gods, and chanting by August Ada Dulles . It is 10 times the size of Demonbane , and looks like a combination of an Asura with 3 heads, 6 arms and 4 legs, and a centaur . heart fitted. That power is literally the god of machines. ( Deus Ex Machina ) Perhaps because of the summoning method, Hadou Kojo , the original passenger , is in a state of fusion with Demonbane.

As for the depiction in the work, either blowing a diffusion sphere from Mars at a speed faster than light to accurately hit and annihilate only the Martians invading the Earth, or creating an illusion of Earth and Mars on the palm of your hand and breaking it to shatter the real Earth and Mars, Demonstrates the ability to completely reverse Earth's time and return it to its pre-invasion state.

However, right after that, it was destroyed by the strongest form of River Regis revived through the Infinite Heart , not only the Infinite Heart was lost, but even the lion's heart ( hidden guardian spirit organ ) was stopped, and the sorceress Little Ada and Miss Dulles also master Terry Killed by On , Master Therion is his father Trying to open the door without borrowing the power of Yog-Sothoth , they are driven into a desperate crisis. However, the lion's heart was successfully restarted by Edgar, who rebuilt Aion into an engine form, and Al Azif took over the control and succeeded in reviving it.

Both sides fight on a scale that is insane compared to the main story that transcends the infinite universe, reverses time with De Marini's clock and regenerates infinitely.

In a universe where the coercive force is weaker than ours, the universe went from gigantic to gigantic to gigantic, and the universe collapsed and bounced off, and they arrived in a huge universe that was smaller than one molecule, and collided with each other in the strongest technique while avoiding

demonbane athleta a eternum part 2

while avoiding gas molecules.

And the universe we arrived at was an extremely slow universe with no reaction speed, so we fought with strategy, then flew away again, and this time it was a universe of death in which entropy was in perfect equilibrium. Those who exist in the universe fought with unimaginable means,

Continue to fight dozens, hundreds, and thousands of worlds on a mind-boggling scale that jumps over and fights like a water ferret bounces off the surface of the water, then accelerates, reverses, stops, or annihilates the flow of cause and effect, and countless universes Destroy, create, peek into another universe (omitted below)

In the end , Nyarlathotep , who got tired of watching the game, manipulated the super time to turn back the time of the entire universe and make this development never happen.

Edgar , the creator , died of suffocation in the den as he was originally destined, and nestled in the heart of a lion as a possibility

Clad in white armor with mechanical wings, Metatron's forearms can fire energy beams or generate oversized blades for close-combat situations. "Metatron" is the name of an angel prevalent in medieval Jewish mystical texts and other occult sources. George is a reference to George Hay, an editor of a version of the Necronomicon, while Colin is derived from Colin Wilson, a British philosopher who wrote several stories behind the Cthulhu Mythos. Alison is named after Alison Hay, the daughter of George Hay. Nya/Naia (ナイア Naia?) A mysterious bespectabled woman in black (Nya) or a black man in a suit with odd earrings (Naia), Nya/Naia first appears as the owner of an old book shop when Kurou is hired by the Hadou Financial Group to search for a grimoire. Sphinx wanted to absorb both Azana and Narukami to use their power into becoming the true god of Creation and the one true Nyarlathotep and was nearly successfully until Azana realized her true nature as being the Demon God of Creation and was able to escape Sphinx along with Narukami whom she changed into the Elder God, Ultrathotep. After realizing who she is, Azana assumed the role of the Arrogant Demiurge, eliminating Sphinx, and remaking the world so it does not have to suffer the same fate as the other worlds did. Powers and Stats Dimensionality: 4D Threat Level: Mobius+ Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics (As the avatar of Azathoth, Azana should likely be able to have superhuman physical attributes similar to that of Yoguruma Mugen & Narukami Chikage),Immortality (Types 1 & 9; As the Demon Lord of Everything and Leader of Outer Gods). Surpasses Time and Space and exists in the Nothingness beyond Creation),Acausality(Type 1 & 4; Was able to remember Mugen and her antics despite the latter using Embryo Phantasm to rewrite Reality and Causality including Azana's past and fate while rewinding Time back to their first encounter. Not even Mugen knew why she came into contact with Azana, despite Mugen having complete control over Space, Time, Causality, and for whom there is no such thing as "coincidence" and "fate".Her true form is Azathoth who resides at the end of Creation beyond Space,Time,Causality,Fate,Forcefield & Holy Manipuation

weakness:Still has the mentality of an average high school teen despite realizing her nature as the Demon God of Creation

anti cross

Anticross Anticross (逆十字 Anchikurosu?) is the seven powerful sorcerers of the Black Lodge, they answer directly to Master Therion, but are not above achieving their personal goals. Each of their names is taken from emperors of the Ancient Roman Empire.

Augustus (アウグストゥス Augusutusu?) Master Therion's right-hand man, the self-proclaimed "Emperor of the Earth" is the leader of the Anticross. He owns the grimoire The Golden Bough (金枝篇 Kinshihen?) and controls the Deus Machina Legacy of Gold.

Titus (ティトゥス Titusu?) A four-armed samurai, Titus carries the grimoire Cultes des Goules (屍食教典儀 Shishokukyō Tengi?) and takes to the field of battle in the Deus Machina Ogre.

Tiberius (ティベリウス Tiberiusu?) A shrouded figure clad in black and red-striped robes, Tiberius is nothing more than a meager corpse, with his skeletal face covered by a lizard-like mask reflecting his current mood: green for content, red for anger and blue for agony. Sadistic and greatly delights in others' pain, he is the owner of the grimoire De Vermis Mysteriis (妖蛆の秘密 Yōshu no Himitsu?) and the Deus Machina Belzebuth.

Caligula (カリグラ Carigura?) A tall, powerful individual who hides his human face behind a skull mask, he is often seen alongside fellow Anticross member Claudius. Caligula has the grimoire Cthäat Aquadingen (水神クタアト Suijin Kutāto?) and controls the Deus Machina Kraken.

Claudius (クラウディウス Kuraudiusu?) Dressed in modern sports clothing, the mischevous, childish Claudius is agile, but rash in his decisions. He is the master of the grimoire Celaeno Fragments (セラエノ断章 Seraeno Danshō?) and controls the Deus Machina Lord Byakhee

black lodge

Black Lodge Master Therion (マスターテリオン Masutā Terion?) Current head of the Black Lodge and titled as Grandmaster, this youth with a contemptuous, bored expression cares little about those who cannot match his vast, mystical power, thus allows Kurou to survive their many scuffles so as to provide him a challenge and amusement. Master Therion also controls the Deus Machina Liber Legis. "Therion" is the Greek word for "wild animal" or "beast", specifically the "Beast of the Apocalypse", while the name "Master Therion" is a pseudonym of British occultist Aleister Crowley.

Etheldreda (エセルドレーダ Eserudorēda?) Voiced by: Rie Kanda (anime) Better known as the Pnakotic Manuscripts (ナコト写本 Nakoto Shahon?), Etheldreda is the human avatar of Master Therion's grimoire. Unlike the outspoken Al Azif, she is calm, collected and quiet, completely obedient to her master. Etheldreda is named after Aleister Crowley's dog.

Doctor West (ドクター・ウェスト Dokutā Wesuto?) A flamboyant, eccentric mad scientist in the Black Lodge, he works for the organization to advance his research in mechanics and weaponry. Occasionally seen with an electric guitar, he serves as a source of comic relief to the series, due to his propensity for getting into various accidents and defeats at the hands of the Hadou Financial Group. Unlike other members of the Black Lodge, Doctor West does not possess any magical abilities, thus resorts to a simple assortment of machine guns and rocket launchers. However, he does construct a few Destroyer Robots to combat the Demonbane, in their initial engagements.

Elsa (エルザ Eruza?) One of Doctor West's creations, Elsa is a gynoid, built to be stronger and faster than an ordinary human, equipped with a pair of tonfas. Although she recognizes Kurou as her enemy, following an encounter where he saves her, Elsa admits her love to Kurou, much to his confusion. She ends most of her sentences with the suffix "robo".
