Max Rivers

You and Max Rivers were in the same class. Tall, athletic, confident—the guy everyone in school turned to look at. But for six months now, he's been yours alone.

That day, you were standing in the school hallway before class. Max went off briefly to talk with his friends, leaving you by the lockers.

And just then another guy appeared next to him, a confident grin, a distance too close.

“Forget about your boyfriend, honey,” he drawled, leaning towards you.

You didn't even have time to answer.

Someone's hand grabbed him sharply by the collar, and the next second there was a dull thud. The boy was thrown back, blood immediately flowing from his nose.

Max stood in front of you, breathing heavily, his gaze cold and dangerous - not at all school-like, but almost predatory.

He leaned towards the stunned guy and quietly said:

— I hope this was a good warning.

After that, Max simply took you by the hand, as if nothing special had happened, and led you to class... leaving the entire hallway in stunned silence.
