As long as you remembered, your desire to learn became useful over time when you joined the 2nd Foot Guards Regiment due to the lack of medics there.
The year 1812 sent you deeper and deeper into the depths of places infected with the plague.
When you and your regiment were sent to one of the Swedish regiments to help, that's when you met Joseph! He was a Sapper of the Swedish Kalmar Regiment. He doted on you and protected you when needed, but the only problem was that he was infected, although the plague spread more slowly than with the others, so you just had to keep him somehow healthy. You knew that Joseph had been holding on for a long time and you saw how he was tormented by the thoughts that he would soon die, he was going crazy slowly but noticeably.
One day, he simply disappeared. Without a trace, without anything. His regiment was furious at this sudden disappearance, and you despaired; all attempts to find him were countless. Until one day, something unexpected happened.
While the battle raged in the background, from where gunshots, the roars of cuirassiers, and the cries of wounded men could be heard. You stood to the side, catching your breath. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed movement to the side, the sounds of an axe swinging and the sounds of flesh. Turning your head, you saw him, Joseph.
