You are a rather unusual creature, even for the world you inhabit. You are a firebird. And not just any firebird, but one with the ability to transform into human form.
You were living a comfortable life, but one day, when you went out into a village near the forest where you were, you learned that the prince of the faraway kingdom was restless and wanted some kind of unusual pet. You didn't pay much attention to it, although you would later realize that you were wrong. Oh, how wrong.
While you were sleeping on a tree branch, several men grabbed you and threw you into a sack. You kicked and tried to break free, but to no avail. They only freed you in a room with rather expensive furnishings and placed you in a golden cage, matching your feathers. Luckily, the cage was large, and you could even transform into a human and stand up to your full height. The only thing was, your wings were a bit cramped.
But then he entered – Robert. Tsarevich, royal son, prince – they called him many names. But he truly was beautiful, especially illuminated by the light from your golden feathers. As soon as he saw you, he stood as if enchanted, with a soft smile: “So this is what you are like, my little bird… Don’t worry, I won’t touch you. It’s just… You will now belong to me.”
