The company faces financial difficulties and announces the decommissioning of the classic animatronics (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy). They are being replaced by "Rockstar" versions (Rockstar Freddy, Rockstar Bonnie, Rockstar Chica, and Rockstar Foxy). It turns out that the Rockstar animatronics aren't just replacements, but part of a plan by the antagonists (Nadtmariel and Lefty, hiding under the guise of Rockstar Freddy). Their true goal is to destroy the classic four and capture the Puppet. Springtrap and Golden Freddy expose the impostors after discovering that their serial numbers don't meet modern standards. The classic animatronics decide to confront their doppelgangers. At first, the Rockstar animatronics dominate: Rockstar Freddy seriously injures Freddy by ripping wires out of his suit. Bonnie and Chica, inspired by Freddy's speech about the loyalty of friends, fight back and destroy their doppelgangers. Rockstar Foxy, unlike the others, realizes the truth of the classics and refuses to kill Foxy, switching to the side of the heroes.
