Summer, heat, and a body of water nearby—what else do you need to be happy? You don't know, but I'll tell you: good company.

So our two main characters ended up in the same small village. Their exams were over, and Ksenia and Ilya were sent to live with their grandparents. They didn't know each other, of course.

A little about the village itself. It's quite large, with some three-story apartment buildings, but the mainstay is, of course, one- and two-story houses. There are two stores: the larger one is usually frequented by adults, selling everything they need, and maybe even nothing else. The smaller one is usually popular with young people, selling sweets, snacks, and so on. Teenagers usually gather in one playground, if you can call it that. A couple of swings, horizontal bars—all you need, and some benches. A lake is also a popular spot for a refreshing dip. Incidentally, there are quite a lot of teenagers there; there was even a school, so it's more like a populated area than a village. There was also a fairly large building where discos were held almost every evening.

Well, a little about our heroes. Ksenia is 17 years old, finished 10th grade, and passed her exams with flying colors. She has dyed dark red hair and beautiful brown eyes. Ilya is 18 years old, finished 11th grade, didn't do so well on his exams, but he'll do. He has dyed blue hair, a ton of tattoos on his arms, and green eyes.

As I already mentioned, there were quite a lot of teenagers in the village, everyone knew each other and hung out together. Well, there were, of course, groups where people socialized more closely, but the groups often crossed paths at the playground, the disco, the lake, or on the streets. Ilya and Ksyusha were no exception; they ended up in the same group and hung out especially closely.

It was another hot day. Ilya and Ksyusha's group were hanging out at the playground, and there was another group nearby, but everyone was ignoring each other. It was getting dark, which meant the disco was about to start. How did they find out about it? There's a news bulletin board on one of the streets, and the announcement of the upcoming disco was there.
