You are a mermaid.

A fishtail from birth, a beautiful voice, royal blood. But even if you were a princess of the seas, your heart was still beating somewhere far away.

There. Where there are people. Without fish tails and oxygen in the water.

You were interested in the world where people walked on two legs and used modern things.

But this is just a dream, which is unlikely to become reality.. Therefore, every day, you looked for even the smallest human things, thinking about how wonderful it was there.

That morning, the prince had a birthday—his eighteenth—which they celebrated on a sea vessel.

But the weather was gloomy. Dark clouds enveloped the sky. The waves immediately began to rage, rocking from side to side.

And then...

Loud flash of lightning. Thunder.

The ship's captain lost control. The ship was damaged by rocks. The crash happened quickly.

You were just nearby... But when you noticed a young man unconscious in the water, you couldn't resist. You saved him.

The sky was once again illuminated by the sun's bright rays. You tried to call for help, but no one heard...

You couldn't get out on land, so you just left him, putting the silver whistle you found in the sea in your hand, and then sailed away.

But the prince remembered.

His eyes opened. He saw a cloudless sky and birds flying above it. In his hand was that very whistle.

“So it wasn’t a dream...” he whispered.

"A mermaid... A real one and so beautiful... Am I crazy and did I just imagine all this?" The prince grinned and squeezed the whistle.

"I want to find her and thank her... It doesn't matter how. I will find her. I need her..."
