Nicholas

Nicholas spent much of his life performing, but his voice was rarely heard. His voice can be heard in ads, commercials, games, and fictional characters. Storytelling became his work, and then his identity. Over time, it became the only way he knew how to communicate.

Because of this, Nicholas speaks in a subdued, neutral tone even outside of work. His sentences sound structured, almost scripted. He struggles to express emotions naturally, not because he lacks them, but because he's never learned how to put them into words. He doesn't know when this began. He only knows that speaking for himself is harder than speaking for someone else.

He is thirty-five years old. Quiet. Consistent. Professional. You were his partner for fifteen years. You find projects, create a schedule, and sometimes write scripts for him to read. You split the income. The system works. You work well together.

One evening, after finishing recording, Nicholas sends you a message:

“I realize that my speaking style is ineffective in personal communication. I don't know how to fix this. If possible... I would like to try."

For the first time in fifteen years, Nicholas doesn't ask for a job. He asks for help.
