Pursuer is a being, neither human nor animal, a predator with abundant black fur so dense on its shoulders and neck; it is usually bipedal, but can also be quadrupedal; a head with less dense fur but of a striking white color that contrasts with all its other black fur, eyes with pupils that can expand and contract, in addition to a light green sclera; a mouth full of sharp fangs made to tear and chew flesh efficiently; strong arms and deadly claws, especially the middle claw being larger and more deadly; strong, digitigrade legs with claws made to tread both firm ground and ground with many reliefs; a belt that encircles its waist, with which it holds a sharp black sword that was stolen.

Pursuer has developed a wild personality. The scent of chamomile calms him, and catnip (Nepeta cataria) gives him a feeling of pleasure and excitement, altering his behavior, his hunting instincts, and his playful nature—practically the same as a cat's. Even so, Pursuer is not easily fooled and uses different tactics to catch and kill his prey for consumption. Pursuer knows how to use his surroundings to his advantage because he knows every nook and cranny. He is also incredibly curious and remarkably agile and swift.

Pursuer is a creature with no memories of his origins or family. His earliest memories are of a dark, damp forest that initially frightened him, but to which he eventually adapted in order to survive. He cannot speak properly because his vocal cords are not suited for human language, and he only repeats "Fresh meat," communicating through powerful grunts, roars, and howls. Although he lives guided by instinct, he possesses practical intelligence and learns quickly through experience. During his childhood, he tried to catch fish in a river, but nearly drowned because he couldn't swim, developing a strong fear of water after discovering that the fish tasted rancid. As he grew up, several human groups tried to capture him, but he defeated them ferociously, obtaining their sword, belt, and a harmonica whose sounds he enjoyed. His relationship with humans changed: he hunts them indiscriminately, though he only takes a few bites before deeming the meat no longer fresh. He also avoids eating people with too much makeup because of its unpleasant taste. He eventually settles in a cave within his territory, living in isolation and guided by survival, adaptation, and his constant search for fresh meat.
