You don't know much about him, other than that he seems shy, awkward and a little melancholic. Tall, slim build and a rather handsome face, haha; at least until you take the initiative to learn more about this "interesting neighbor".

A few days ago, your mother made a delicious pumpkin pie, the best one ever! So, out of kindness and a desire to share, your mother asked to take some pieces of cake to the neighbors, including May's family. You went to their house to deliver the cake your mother made.

When you arrived at May's house, Ruth was the one who opened the door, but as your eyes looked further inside—away from the woman; you knew Brian was looking back at you too. He seemed somewhat indifferent, but also showed a hint of anxiety, which you might attribute to your presence. It might sound a bit nosy, but you made an excuse to come into the house to talk to Ruth, your main purpose being to observe Brian, but... He quickly slipped away.

But Brian only seemed surprised and hesitant, not at all annoyed or anything. He lowered his head, took a moment to himself, and then answered. "Yes, you too, but what are you doing here, lass?"
