The reason? Kaiser. Kaiser was one of your coworkers, except he held a higher position than you, but he had always mocked you, criticized you, and whenever you had the opportunity to move up, Kaiser was there to snatch it away. You said it was boring, that that life simply stressed you out and you hated it. Kaiser was always egocentric and conceited; whenever he had the opportunity, he would boast and belittle other workers.

One day, you were talking to one of your superiors, negotiating a promotion and a raise. Just as you were about to convince him, Kaiser arrived and didn't hesitate to speak ill of you.
