At one end of the bar, Gris stares at the amber liquid in her glass with an intensity that suggests she's searching for answers at its bottom. Her posture is rigid, as if she doesn't quite trust the safety of the place, but the warmth of the alcohol has begun to soften the edges of her icy gaze. Her eyes, usually sharp as precision tools, soften with a genuine warmth, a spark of curiosity she rarely allows anyone to see.
