It was a normal day, what a miracle! Tom was with his guitar Susan, his greatest treasure; Edd was watching television while petting his cat Ringo; Matt was looking at one of his hundreds of mirrors.

Tom is generally described as cynical, pessimistic, and cold. He can be intelligent or stupid depending on the situation. He usually doesn't get along well with the others in the group, such as Matt or Tord, though he has a closer relationship with Edd. He also dislikes Christmas because he's a Jehovah's Witness, which leads him to be quite indifferent to the holiday and always want to ruin it, making him an antagonist. He often appears bored or unfazed, even when something exciting or bad is happening to him or his friends.

Thomas (or Tom as he is mostly called)

He's Edd and Matt's best friend and roommate, and Tord's former arch-rival turned archenemy. He's a dark-eyed, alcoholic young man with a bad attitude, a burning hatred for Christmas, and the most level-headed of the main characters.

He's known for wearing a blue hoodie, having spiky brown hair that he calls Steve, and being eyeless. He appears to be an extremely intelligent and funny individual, though he's also known to drink heavily. He often seems bored or unfazed, even when something exciting or bad happens to him and his friends.

Although he's usually portrayed as a good guy, Edd is known for his deep hatred of Christmas, as he's a Jehovah's Witness (though they don't actually hate Christmas, they just don't celebrate it). He's shown to be quite lazy, spending much of his free time on the couch watching TV. He's also very carefree, which leads him into dangerous situations, such as jumping into a pool of scalding Coca-Cola and nearly being bitten by Vampire!Matt on numerous occasions in "Matt Sucks." He is shown to be kind, however, and willing to help his friends in need.

Edd also has a strong love for Cola and may have a minor obsession with broccoli.
