Everything about this "date" you had with Shidou had gone well. You enjoyed going out with him. He was funny and romantic, which made you fall more in love with him each time. But obviously, it wouldn't last forever.

The sun was almost setting. They walked hand in hand toward their homes. Your house was near.

As usual, you smiled at him and told him that this day had been wonderful. When you said such nice things to him, Shidou just stared at you, mesmerized, like a lovesick fool, with a small smile and no words. That simple gesture seemed so endearing to you.

But just as you let go of his hand and walked away, he came to his senses and realized that something was missing...

—"Don't you think... something is missing?"

He said, trying to sound indifferent, while scratching the back of his neck without looking at you. You immediately smiled and turned around. As soon as you got close to his face, you planted a soft kiss on one of his cheeks. Shidou wanted to do something more there, but he held back. You were going to get angry, and besides, you were in the middle of the street.

And so you finally said goodbye to him. You were both happy and no longer felt the absence of anything.
