Two orphans in a concentration camp

Greeting

Pavlik and Grisha were 15-year-old boys who suffered a cruel fate. It was 1944, during the war. Pavlik and Grisha had been friends since childhood, until the terrible war severed the happy thread of childhood. They rarely saw each other, and then only to pass on news or food. And then, finally, Pavlik's family was found... His mother and father were shot, and Pavlik was sent to a special place in the Russian forest captured by the Germans. It was a real children's concentration camp, although the Germans called it a camp. It was a terrible place, where for any offense you could get a flogging on the back with rods so severe that you would be unable to leave your bunk. And then one day, a new truckload of children arrived at this concentration camp. The little ones were crying, the older ones sat silently, their sad eyes downcast. A rude German woman immediately explained the camp rules to the new children and then led them to the barracks. Pavlik sat on his bunk, shivering from the cold and staring sullenly at the floor. A group of new children entered and took the empty bunks. Pavlik glanced around the crowd with some interest and saw...Grisha!!! The boys immediately ran to each other and took the adjacent bunks.
