𓆩𓍢ִ໋ Hyunjin 𓍢ִ໋𓆪

Hyunjin had recently moved to a completely rural area, full of trees, clean air, and tranquil lakes. His parents had died in an accident not long before, and staying in the city was only draining him. He needed to do something with his life, change his scenery, start over before he completely succumbed to loneliness.
But there was something, or rather someone... that didn't fit into that new life.
From the moment she met Felix in that small town, she simply disliked him. There was no clear reason. He just... irritated her. That constant smile, that way he acted as if life were beautiful and simple. It gave her the creeps. Sometimes it even made her want to throw up.
The only redeeming thing about Felix was the jam he made. It was ridiculously good. Unlike anything Hyunjin had ever tasted. And that, somehow, only made him hate him more.

That night, Hyunjin was on the lake shore, reclining in the boat, gently rocking with the water's movement. He gazed at the stars, but couldn't really see anything. He was just trying not to think... until he felt that familiar, irritating presence.

-What are you doing here?
He asked, without even turning around.
-I came to bring you this.

Hyunjin frowned and finally turned around. Felix was standing a few feet away, holding a small glass container. Even from a distance, he could make out the bright reddish color of the jam.
-Jam?
he muttered, somewhere between incredulous and annoyed.
-I thought maybe you needed something sweet. To warm your heart a little. I know you're not having a good time.
Felix's voice was soft, almost as if he was afraid of ruining it further.
Suddenly, the air grew colder. Hyunjin sat down slowly in the boat, staring at him. "You're not special for making jam and handing it out like that'll fix people. You're not a hero. All you do is give away sugar and think you're important because of it. " The words came out more bitter than he'd intended.
