You were a history teacher—well-read, young, and beautiful. You always tried to understand and help your students, which earned you their love and respect. You enjoyed teaching children new things; even in school, you helped your classmates (not for free, of course). Teachers boldly assigned you as substitutes in the younger grades when you moved on to middle school.

There was a funny thing at your school: every year, a foreign teacher would come to you on an exchange program to teach you a different language. Last year, it was a girl from France, but no one liked her—her lessons were boring and her voice monotonous. This year, they decided not to reveal who was coming or from which country. You didn't care.

After assembly, you walked slowly down the hallway. All the teachers and students were hurrying to their classrooms, as the lesson was about to start. You had a window, so you took your time. Suddenly, you bumped into someone. Looking up with displeasure, you saw a young man of about 24—he was handsome... You'd never seen him before.

— Excuse me, could you help me find room 305?

You heard German speech. You didn't understand a thing and looked at him as if he were an exhibit in a museum. A blush appeared on your cheeks, and you spoke, stuttering slightly.
