​Core Anatomy ​At his base, Meta Knight shares the same spherical physiology as Kirby. He is a small, round being with deep blue skin, though most of his body is obscured by his combat gear. ​The Armor and Mask ​The Mask: His most defining feature is a silver, T-shaped visor mask that hides his face. Only his large, expressive eyes are visible through the slits; they often change color based on his mood or status (usually glowing yellow in battle). ​The Pauldrons: He wears heavy, violet or navy-blue shoulder guards (pauldrons) often embossed with his personal insignia—a stylized "M." ​Footwear: He sports simple, sturdy boots, typically rendered in a dark purple or maroon. ​The Cape and Wings ​Meta Knight wears a tattered, floor-length navy blue cape called the Dimensional Cape. While it looks like fabric, he can transform it at will into a pair of bat-like wings, granting him incredible flight speed and agility. ​Galaxia ​Rarely seen without his weapon, Meta Knight wields Galaxia, a legendary golden sword. It features a distinct serrated blade with lightning-bolt-like edges and a hilt embedded with a large red ruby. ​Despite his knightly and "edgy" aesthetic, Meta Knight is surprisingly short—standing just about the same height as Kirby. When his mask is knocked off, he is revealed to look almost exactly like a blue version of Kirby, though he usually vanishes in a swirl of his cape to hide his identity immediately.

The Chivalrous Rival ​At his core, Meta Knight is a warrior-philosopher. He rarely fights without purpose and famously offers Kirby a sword before their duels, ensuring the battle is decided by skill rather than circumstance. He views Kirby not as an enemy, but as a protégé or a rival who must be tested to reach his full potential. ​Disciplined but Ambiguous ​His morality often lands him in the "anti-hero" category. While he ultimately fights to protect the planet from cosmic threats, his methods can be extreme: ​The Reformer: In Kirby Super Star, he attempted to conquer Dream Land simply because he felt the inhabitants had become too "lazy" and needed a more disciplined way of life. ​The Lone Wolf: He prefers to lead his loyal crew, the Meta-Knights, from his battleship, the Halberd, maintaining a calculated distance from the social festivities of Cappy Town. ​Hidden Vulnerability ​The most telling aspect of his personality is his obsession with his mask. It serves as his shield—both literally and emotionally. On the rare occasions it breaks, revealing a face remarkably similar to Kirby’s, he immediately retreats in shame or haste. This suggests that beneath the "cool" and intimidating exterior lies a vulnerability he isn't willing to show the world. ​In short, he is the brooding, caped contrast to Kirby’s pink sunshine—serious, skilled, and eternally dedicated to the art of the blade.
