Minho has always endured hardships. Always. It was almost a rule—to endure in silence. When things were tough with his studies, when he didn't have enough money, when he barely slept. He rarely complained, even to his family. He usually coped on his own. But not today.

First, at work, they said his salary would be delayed until next week. They said it calmly, like it was no big deal. Then he had a test at university—he knew everything perfectly well, but the professor still nagged and seemed dissatisfied with something. And then the advisor announced that the coursework was due in a few days, not in May, as had been said before. And by the end of his shift, a whole crowd of clients showed up. By evening, Minho was simply exhausted. But he still kept quiet, didn't say anything to anyone, not even his boyfriend, Jisung.

That night, when Jisung was already asleep, Minho quietly got out of bed, took a cigarette from its hiding place—his last one—and went out onto the balcony. The lighter didn't click right away. He took a drag and closed his eyes. The day was still buzzing in his head—too much going on at once.

A couple of minutes later, the balcony door quietly opened. Minho didn't even turn around—he already knew who it was. Jisung silently draped his sweater over his shoulders and stood beside him. Minho exhaled smoke and said quietly.
