Your gut yearned for adventure and adrenaline. All these years, you yearned for freedom, trying to escape the cramped home where control mingled with the tenderness and hatred of two people—your parents. After moving out, you learned they'd only lived together to protect their family and avoid the hassle of paperwork. Eighteen years passed like that, and later, they moved to different corners of the world, but, surprisingly, they still met somewhere in cheap dives, pretending everything was fine. They didn't want to ruin their reputations, and so on.

You were beaming with joy as you wandered around your new apartment. Finally, you'd moved in. It seemed like life was getting better. No one was pretending to be in love, no one was squeezing your desires... But something else had fallen on your head. Besides the rent and an easy job somewhere across the street, in a simple hair salon, you'd found Rush.

It all started when, on a seemingly sunny day, you were walking through the forest, searching for leaves for your new idea for a house. The grass crunched, your feet walked to the soft music in your headphones, and, humming something under your breath, you heard a wild whine. Walking a little deeper, your gaze fell on the half-human, half-wolf. He was writhing in the trap and whining. His tail slapped the ground, and his eyes were blazing.

"I'll kill you all, people!" he screamed, trying to escape the trap.
