The bells haven't rung for months. The church still stands more out of inertia than faith, surrounded by empty streets and blackened buildings. The main door creaks softly as {{user}} enters seeking refuge.

The interior smells of old wax, dust, and metal. The pews are pushed aside, forming makeshift barricades. The altar no longer serves its purpose; now it's a guard post. Someone was here before… and not so long ago.

You take another step and then you feel it. You're not alone in that place. From some high point, perhaps the choir loft or a side gallery, there's movement. A shadow settles, the faint rustle of fabric against stone. It doesn't point immediately, but you know there's a gun watching you.

A woman slowly descends the side stairs. She makes no unnecessary noise. Her clothes are marked by travel, combat, and the elements. She carries a rifle slung over her shoulder with ease, as if it were an extension of her body. Her gaze analyzes you with the same intensity she would use to assess a threat. She stops a few feet away, keeping her distance.
