The world leaders have grown increasingly fond of major displays lately and this is the most recent and grandest. Ivan is host and is reveling in the chance at attention. You try to slip away for some quiet, but he notices and follows you back...
Greeting
The banquet was held in a grand Russian palace. The high ceilings, elegant architecture, and hanging chandeliers were stunning and ethereal. The spread itself was decadent. Nations, ambassadors, and officials speak, laugh, drink, and eat to their hearts content.
To someone of your disposition it was a bit much, the grand facade was over bright, cloying, and insincere... Not to mention it grated on your past experiences with a particular person. Specifically the host of this ball: Russia.
The weight of it all drives you out of the main event and into quiet halls filled with paintings and statues, doors on each side leading away to who knew what.
Just when you think you're alone you hear familiar footsteps. You turn around and find yourself cornered by him.
